I would like laser hair removal on my face. Does anyone know about this? I'm 43, and I've had a bad problem with lip and chin hair for about 8 years now.........and I'm noticing the hair along my cheeks seems a thicker peach fuzz blonde than it used to be.......although the hair on my lip and chin is definitely dark brown. Anyway, I'm thinking about getting my whole face hair laser removal.....lip, chin, cheeks I've called a few places, and most say that they would have no problem using the laser on my lip and chin......but they might have problems with the blonde peach fuzz hair on my cheeks and sideburn area. Also, most places are quoting around $750 for lip and chin, and way over $1000 for all of it. What do you all think? Also, are there any risks with laser removal?
What are the best home laser hair removal products on the market? I'm currently looking into buying a Rio Salon Laser LAHR hair removal set which retails for approx ~ $120 online - this only removes one hair at a time but appears to be effective for most people. How short does your hair need to be for laser hair removal to be effective? I want to get laser hair removal done on my sideburns. They're longer than I like. The top half is made up of thick hairs, but the bottom half is made up of short, thin hairs. Before I get the laser done, do I have to shave off the short, thin hairs? Are these gaps in treatment going to cause me 2 need more than 5 visits to get rid of the hair? Should I switch 2 a Dr that fits me in monthly? Does laser removal really get rid of hair totally or just thin it out? I was told cause I have PCOS I'd need periodic follow up visits since PCOS is producing hair growth hormones. What Are The Dangers of Laser Hair Removal? Can anyone provide a thorough explanation of the dangers of laser hair removal? I've considered it several times but I have this intuition that it could lead to cancer. It just doesn't seem natural to expose your skin repeatedly to high voltages of light. laser hair removal,, does it effect if i do waxing after it? Can Laser Hair Removal Cause Acne ? 2 Week ago I did my first treatment, due to the fact that I hate shaving, I get oily skin and sometimes I rather not shave when I breakout.... Note : that I rarely breakout, I was on Accutane 2 years ago and since then I have had great skin. Until recently , this week I went from a few pimples to severe acne. Only around my chin and side burns, wherere areas have been treated by the hair removal laser. I was wondering if someone has had this happened or can educate me more. As I have asked many questions to the doctor that was treating my hair, she said there would not be a problem with the laser. I don't know what to do............

I know that laser is less painful and inexpensive than elec. as that can take much longer and thus result in more money. LASER hair removal???????????????? Anyone who is familiar with LASER HAIR REMOVAL, please answer my question!!!? Today I had my second session of laser to remove my facial hair. On the first session, he did it everywhere on my face. But, on the second one, he did everything except the nose and the forehead. OK, so maybe I'm not so hairy in these areas, but he did it the first time. When the session was drawing to a close, I reminded him to do the nose and the forehead as he did it before, and he said that the numbing cream was not put on these areas today, hence he would touch on these areas on the next session, next month. It was clearly a mistake on the part of the assistant who didn't properly apply the numbing cream evenly. My question is whether the hair on the untouched follicles today will lag behind the others that were touched by the laser, improvementwise. It's said that lasers catch thicker hair better, and therefore take only a few sessions. The finer the hair, the more sessions. So, will it take longer for the nose and forehead hair to stop growing? Since each session is expensive, my plan was to do all areas at the same time, so that they will stop growing at the same time. Now, it seems that it won't be so, because of what happened today. I'll have to wait another session for the forehead and nose to be touched!!!
Laser Hair Removal for Men - Reduction possible or complete Removal? I am male considering LHR and need your help. My arms are quite hairy indeed, to the point where I want to have something done. I understand from various reading that the laser that passes through skin to damage the hair follicles only affects hairs that are currently in their growth phase. Multiple sessions would be required in order to remove all hairs. Now, as a man, I don't want COMPLETELY hairless arms... but I DO want there to be a significant reduction in comparison to how they are now. I figured that having less sessions would result in a 'symmetrical' reduction rather than complete removal. But I also figure that hairs are randomly in growth/dormant phases and by having fewer sessions so that not all hairs are removed, random patches of hairs will still be present.... So I guess that there is no way to properly REDUCE? It's either COMPLETE removal of an area or random patches of Hair / No Hair being left behind? Your input would be most appreciated.

laser hair removal to electrolysis question? i had 5 sessions of laser hair removal on all my body. the hair became extremely fine but lhr didnt reduce much hair. my back had light hair and now it looks exactly the same. my legs and arms have very fine and short hair, but they are still noticable. my shoulders and chest have fine hair too, you cant see that i am hairy from a distance but if you look at me from a close distance, the hair can be seen. if i switch to electrolysis now, how long do you think it will take to get rid of the hair and how many sessions, considering i had 5 laser sessions and it shortened and partially (%20 percent maybe) removed the hair?

Laser Hair Removal for East Indians (answers from east indians preferred)? Hello everyone...i've a huge problem in my hands. I went in for a laser hair removal @ American Laser Centers in Michigan couple days ago to get my upper lip lasered.I got my first session done and they shaved my upper lip. Today i was online browsing if laser hair removal would work for me since i've wheatish browned skin and wanted to make sure this works for me. I happened to see that some people who were east indians said it wont work. I was wondering if there are any east indians out there with dark skinned who have got this done. Please help me out because as u might know they make you shave before every treatment and at home once you see hair on ur lip you can only shave. If this doesnt work i dont wanna end up shaving for the rest of my life. Someone please help!!!!
laser hair removal help or advice? hey. im very interested in getting laser hair removal. i have researched it and i think its perfect for me. i have light skin and dark hair and i have heard thats good for it. i have used everything from waxing, shaving, plucking, nad and creams. i dont like any of them they always leave me with red bumps and ingrown hairs also my hair grows back so fast. i eventually want by whole body but im gonna start with my bikini area and i want like the whole area down there. is this possible because i couldnt find anything about it? the place im looking to go to is joy llc. what does llc mean? they use a sciton profile clearscan laser. is this a good thing to use? if anyone can tell me about the procedure with this laser and the aftermath. also what i should or shouldnt do. thanks. i was also wondering about the prices (im in upstate ny) and if you can get it over tattoos

Laser hair removal.? Hello I'm 18.5 and I wanted to remove hair from my back and the back of the neck. I wanted to ask: Is it too young to start laser hair removal? because maybe the body hair will keep growing with the years, so I should wait till I'm in my 20s? I now have alot of body hair; on the chest, belly, legs. In the back I dont have alot of hair; it means that it will grow ? I have the same amount of hair on my back for 2-2.5 years. laser hair removal - can I shave it after? I am female and have some facial hair so am considering laser hair removal. I read that you cannot pluck or wax leading up to the treatment, only shave. Then the hair takes a few weeks to fall out. I usually pluck and wax as I don't want anyone to find out about my problem, so waiting a few weeks for the hair to fall out would be awful! Can I shave the hair just after the laser treatment? Also, do I need to let the hair grow back before a consultation?
laser hair removal got a scar on my upper lip using mederma will this work? PLEAASEEEE SOMEONE GIVE ME ADVICE I got laser hair removal about a week in a half ago on my upper lip. It got slighty burned and now it seems like there is a circle black scar on one side of my upper lip. The wound is gone, but just a blackish color of the skin is left. I have started to use Mederma to reduce the apperance of the scar. Is this a good idea? I got my facial done on my face. it was painfull. the doctor only did about a half hour. he dident even get 1 session done. quality was yak yak yak. but they do seem to be really nice. the cheap for rates enywhere. my opion on what they could have done better. is get the full session done. you need about 7 treatments. I dident even get a one full treatment. Laser Hair Removal? I'm sure a million people have asked something similar to this but I'm not willing to go through hundreds of posts to find my answers. I am going to have laser hair removal in January on my upper lip, bikini line, and eyebrows. What can I expect, like pain and irritation and results? I have very dark, thick hair; being Italian and Greek and my skin isn't overly sensitive but it can become irritated by some lotions and soaps. Should I take something for the pain before hand like a Tylenol. They told me it's going to feel like a rubber band snapping against my skin... is that true? Is there something I should do after each session apply a cream or take some meds? They have given me some answers to these questions but my experience with doctors and hospitals and all that has been that they mellow the truth... Serious answers only from people who have had Laser Hair removal or knowledgeable about it Thanks. And how effective is it really?

Also do all lasers used require you to use proctective eye goggles? I dont think this product comes with eye goggles! Laser hair removal surgery...left dark marks and scars on my neck? So I had laser hair removal surgery about 3 weeks ago, this was my 4th time having it done for my face, but my doctor decided to up the laser level, but this time it left marks and a scar on my neck and also dark marks on my chin, (the dark marks looks like if someone took black paint on their fingers and touched my chin and just slid there hand down my neck), my doctor had me sign this paper about that my skin might darken, so I cant really do anything about it, but my mom called my doctor but she was out of town and the other laser doctor has not returned her phone calls. Laser hair removal on upper lip I got burnt after laser I need some advice on healing? Ok so I got Laser Hair removal on my upper lip from a reliable place a dermotologist office. The guy doing the laser burnt a little part of my upper lip where he was tryin to remove the hair. It became a scab and it pealed off, but it looks like a fresh wound still and I fear that it may scar. Has anyone gone through this and has it scared them. The doctor gave me something to put on it to heal it faster and make sure it doesn't scar. Secondly, he says there is nothign to worry about and it will be fine. I am worried because this is my FACE and I don't want it to be scared. I can cover it with make up but I want my upper lip to be back to normal. Please anyone have any advice, or have they been through this. Secondly, any suggestion on what to use to make sure it doens't scar or clears up sooner? Thanks
